Force a unit to shut it
« on: 03 Dec 2002, 01:58:04 »
Is it possible to force a unit not to yell out when an enemy soldier is close to him? I'm making a night ambush and some of the mates that are supposed to be asleep starts shouting: "3 o'clock, Soldier 50", yeah you all know the drill. Even the player himself starts. Now what do I have to do to make these trouble makers shut up?  :-X

cheers

you could try

soldier disableAi "autoTarget"

but I'm not sure how you re-enable it afterwards. If you don't need them to be in combat then it doesn't matter anyway.

O'Neil, as a former OFPEC Alumn myself, i feel its my duty to call you a moron for spamming topics with your useless crap. I know i shouldn't even do this in a public post, but i feel its necessary to try and deface you in public. The least I can do is report you to a mod. And hopefully they will take proper action, which will hopefully be at least a temp ban. But i know at least you will be warned, and banned upon your next offense. Having worked here, i know OFPEC doesn't tolerate this crap. You better stop it immediately, or the wrath of the 'Bane shall come down upon you.

I thank you all - with the exception of O'neal - for sharing your thoughts. I'll try "enableradio" then.

Cheers :)

If you see posts that you think are wrong just press the report to moderator button, then the mods will deal with things. If you respond you only risk being pulled into a flame war.  8)

Settle please PiNs...

If you contact a moderator about any issues you have (or report the post) the issue will be dealt with.

There's no need for abuse, no matter how warranted you feel it is.

Now let's all just get along, huh? ::)
