Overflow Problem with Texture Swpping
« on: 25 Aug 2002, 05:58:09 »
Hey was monkeying around with retexturizing some of the newer addons made since oxygen was released...Plugged them into the texture swapping utility and it sat there and worked for quite a while....then says "Overflow" and in the place of the Paa and Pac listings was a bunch of giberish. I have checked this against several of the O2 addons and it does the same thing. Old addons work fine. Anyone know a solution to this?

dunno about O2, man, but if they're encrypted addons, try & decrypt them.
use the "pbo decrypter 1.5" tool to do this.  :) might be it.

Well Darn....I tried your suggestion but to no avail...It seems to be O2 related.....

you cannot use texture swap on demo models which is what you are probably trying to do, it only works on full game models

thanks for the replies Evisorator and Tomb. Well they aren't demo models but it's probably a similar situation....One is the Captain Moore Cannon and the other is the PAtria. so one is a full game model and the other is a brand new model. What is the story there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yessir sure did....But as Evis said I guess it has to do with the mlod model type thing...Question though....If you don't texture swap what can you do to reskin these fine addons. I really want to reskin the patria. Again any help would be appreciated.

you will need to hex edit the p3d if you dont have oxygen, its a long boring process if there are a lot of files :(
