making a tank without dustclouds
« on: 26 Nov 2002, 06:59:27 »
Howdy everyone. I've suceeded quite well in animating leg movements for my KBOTS. However, these suckers are leaving huge dust trails!

Anyone know how to disable them? I've taken out the STOPLL, STOPLR, etc memory points and my landcontact is not labeled. THey run fine but still kick up dust.

What are your thoughts?

The only experience I have had with dust is with aircraft, and they use 'levy prach' and 'pravy prach' memory points.
Do you have those at all?

Other than that... no idea.  ???

WHAT!!? KBOT! Holy crap.  Why would you want to take out the dust? It'll be cool dude........ being an ground unit,, hiding in the bushes.... here comes a huge chunk of steels and carbon fibers, and all these sophisticated equipments,, making huge sounds every step or movements he take,,, wow,,, that'll be cool, and a dust rising... shoot,, I'll rather have it with the dust rising.  Don't take it out,, actually, show us the "PICTURES" of your KBOT just to see how big the cloud is.

the KBOTs are about the size of a man, so the dustclouds completely cover them up!

It's really bad, I can't accept that.
