About the crashes.. I got a theory..

I've been noticing, that when my ofp crashes with you're pack, i very often aim at a Officer at the same time it crashes, (American Officer.., never been happening with a NVA/VC officer.. i think).. And then it crashes, reboot, blablabla.. But now, i replaced the Marine officer to a Marine Soldier on the same map as before, and the crashing stopped. Worth to try out, check out or whatever?.. ;)

Hmm..

Evis is correct.
The soviet-designed MON-200 has some Vietnamese on its peeling paint job.
The POMZ-2M is a soviet mine, that the North Vietnamese and VC used
Both of these the Chinese and the North Vietnamese ripped off.
The P-40 "Apple" is a mine that uses an american clusterbomb casing, so it is indigenous to vietnam.

The M-14 is an american mine, but the NVA/VC had an almost identical knockoff (only more metal, less plastic), so you can use that.

The M16A1 "Bouncing Betty" is also US made, but reportedly NVA/VC had captured and used some of these themselves.

THe M18A1 is a US claymore, but all armies had something similar.

So yeah, you can use them all against imperialists, mercenaries and puppets.

RE: Crashes

Just tought I should let you guys know that today, I have been away on a LAN party playing Nampack2 for about 10 hours straight (of course, some minor pauses were in place), and to my amazement, I had ZERO crashes/freezes. We played 5 different maps, over and over again, including the one I posted on the previous page. I am one happy man right now...  This was amazing...   :o

Not sure why it didn't crash/freeze on me today, but could it be that I removed SP1 from XP pro?

Anybody got crashes/freezes in Win95-98-ME-2K-XP home-XP pro (not service pack1) ?

To see what I did, move to page 15, yup, it the HUGE post in the middle...    (sorry for that)   :-\

the last time I show you a video of a napalm airstrike, with the use of scripts

Now I made the same work but with script INSIDE an airplane addon ! No need anymore to be a guru scripter, just put the airplane on the map, and it will drop napalm  ;D
I hope I could implement this stuff inside one SEB's airplane

Hey SEB Team, first i'd like to say thanks for producing such a wonderful product, but unfortunately I'm one of those experiencing the freeze problem.  I was just wondering if this might be a sound problem, because when my computer freezes I get a high pithched squeel coming from my speakers. I have a sounblaster audigy with updated drivers and i've tried running the program with and without EAX/Hardware settings. I hope this might help you in locating the problem.

RE: Crashes

I have been thinking about these crashes/freezes and have come to a conclusion of sort, I think it is memory related, e.g. yesterday, I played at a LAN party for 10 hours straight, no crashes/freezes, at home today? Yep, crash/freeze. The only difference is the "eyecandy". In a MP game, all party's are set to the same (geometry etc.), but at home or in single player it uses what is specified in options and preferences.

So, although monstermachine I have, I will go down a little on the "eyecandy" and see what happens. (fingers crossed)   ;)

PS: The crashes/freezes has nothing to do with sound since it has crashed/freezed when no sound was playing, ambient or music.

type:

This animate ["selectionname", posistion]

Inplace of "selectionname" you have

"SidedoorL" (Dustoff, UH-C ARA/Gunship) - left hand door
"SidedoorR" (Dustoff, UH-C ARA/Gunship) - Right hand door
"Pilotsight" (Dustoff, UH-C ARA/Gunship) - Pilots sight
"Backramp" (CH-47C) - Take a guess ;)
"Visor" (AirCav Pilot) - Hmmmm, i wonder :D

The defult (closed for doors, closed for ramps, down for pilots sights and up for visors) is "0" whilst the open posistion is "1"

So example.......to open a Dustoffs left door (called H1 say) is thus:

H1 animate ["SidedoorL", 1]

There ya go
