This is kinda off topic but then again not. Last few post got me thinking about it any way.
Just saw a news spot today about some US soldiers getting ready to go to middle east. And a thing i notice was that all the M16's had RIS (Rail interface system) Front handguard's. And these where regular troops. Does anyone know if this is new standard??

Well Yeah, but they do use the M16 as well, I garuntee if you look inside ANY US Army Weapons Depot or Armory you will find M16s but not all US units use M4s many do, I can't give numbers cause I don't know, the M16 is the Official Rifle of the U.S. Army, Navy (including Marines), and Air Force.

@Dkraver, that probly depends on the Unit and Mission.

@ Dkraver, the M4 with the RIS is the standard issued weapon with regular infantry units, rangers, SF, and LRSD units.  The M16A2 is the standard issued weapon of combat service and support units and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Now its time for a little fact from someone who is in the army :-) almost all airborne divisions have been using nothing but hte m4 now so you know because it is more accurate that the m16...  or shall i say was now since the m16a3 is now the standing issue for all us army personel it is just as accurate as the m4 while it has single/burst and auto fire modes :-) anyways oh and hte navy quit using the m14 ages ago......strange.....

It is indeed true, however, that is just based on the shot grouping when fired from a fixed test stand (often a large concrete block with clamp like mounts). In the field its all down to the person pulling the trigger....

DeadMeat is Dead-On. The M4A1 is more accurate than the M16A2 in shot groupingsproven through the benchmarking of each weapon.
What it actually means is the M4A1 is a more precise weapon, as the shots are consistently repeatable. Accuracy lies in the sights and the shooter.
As mentioned, it's all about the person pulling the trigger once your in the field. An associate of mine came back from Afghanistan and noted that, for examples sake, while the AK is not known for being the most accurate of weapons, it is deadly in the right hands of a trained soldier; he referenced that you'd often find the weapon coming from behind cover with the 'pray and spray' method.

Call me the king of silly requests, but could you include a version of the different variants of sniper rifles with the bipod folded up?  It would not have to have an extra soldier armed with it, but it would be nice to manually arm the units with the variant based on the mission maker's preference.  I suppose this all has to do on how much it would increase the file size, how much trouble it would be to make, and if any one else actually wants it.  If no one else wants it, I will shut up.  ;D

i was hoping for an animated bipod that extends downward into place when in the prone position and it folds back when crouching or standing.  if this isnt possible maybe an extend/retract command on the action menu.  if this isnt possible no big deal they still look cool...and i still want them...

Are the grenades for the 203 going to take up one slot?  Or are you going to use BIS's 203...
Just after using the nam pack im a big fan of GL ammo only taking one slot, makes things easier

We have our custom grenades, which means that you can carry until 6 grenades if needed.

I'm sorry Skaven, I didn't understand your meaning... Do you mean your M203 carries six grenades per slot? I hope that's correct as that would be much more accurate in my opinion.
