Euhm...well, if you mean how to create your own addons (vehicles included), you should do as such:

1) go to the Editor's Depot, and look for tutorials. Should be a bunch of 'em available to teach you the basics, although I don't know which are good and which are poor so...

2) after learning the basics, go visit the Addons section of our site as soon as you've got a question or comment, and they'll sort you out alright ;)

3) put new vehicles into OFP

if you, however, meant putting addons you've downloaded, well, then you should put them into the ADDONS (or the resistance equilavent...RESAddons or somesuch) folder, make sure they're "really there" and haven't created a folder of their own within the folder...and then just find 'em in the editor.

And, the third possibility...press F2 or click "Units" in the upper left area of your in-editor screen, and then double-click on the map, and change the "type" selection to "Cars" or "Armor" or "Air", and then select the appropriate vehicle of your choice. ;D  ::)  ;)

Good luck! :toocool:

                                                          ::)

( ;D ) :D Here's my 5 minutes of dechiffering :

1. he wanna create a howitzer
(hence the "How would go about putting new vehicles into ofp?" )

2. he wanna create a TOW but accidentially typed "how"  :) ( :beat: )

3. he wanna put ten triangle-shaped signs up his a.. and then hit the local
solarium center to get this fine nut-brown tan, ending up winning the awsome
    >>Biggest "Toblerone" chocolate in the world<< contest  8)  :) ( :moon: )  ;D

4. or he REALLY wanna know how to install downloaded addons into OFP  8)
(trust me here, I 'know' the style of typing  :beat: ;D ).

Thus:

Hi, ambrsia - here's how to do it

::) sorry, papabear, but ya must of been missing out the can of honey today...
(prolly the one I ate, but don't tell him, ambrsia).

Right... the addons!  :D

1. Download the addon (most are packed as ".zip" files)

2. Use "WINZIP" to extract the addon from the zip file.

If ya don't have it, install "winzip" on your computer back home, you can get
a free trial version on the CD-R discs which often comes with most computer magazines.

Launch the winzip progr...  :P ::) bah! - here's the short version :

Unzip the addon, winzip will create a folder, and in that folder your addon is hidden.
If the addon was named "TMB_Tomb.pbo" then ya need to put the TMB_Tomb.pbo file into the OFP "AddOns" folder, the one old wolfy spoke of before.  :-*

If you have "Resistance" (the  OFP upgrade ) installed, you'd most likely have TWO
addons folders, but nevermind - so far it doesn't make any diferrence wether you put the addon into the Res/AddOns or the original AddOns folder  :P

In short, this is where the 'addons' folders are located :

(the orig. folder) :

C: /  CodeMasters / OperationFlashpoint / AddOns  :)

or (depending on how you sort your trash back homie) :

C: / Games / OFP / Operation.... / AddOns

-----------

(and the RES folder) :

C: / CodeMasters / OperationFlashpoint / Res / AddOns  :-*

-----------

Right (aren't there any 'ReadMe' files out there anymore in addon.zip's?),
this should help ya out, m8

oh well... an hour older ( :noo: ) CYA  :-*  ;D
