HI all,
Firstly gr8 website,  I am new to the game and have a couple of questions, sorry if they have been answered 100 times before in the past. I also appreciate that this is an editing forum, but I figured you guys would know better than anyone.

I have just bought the OFP gold edition, and it only has a few co-op multiplayer missions on it, and it would apper that all the campaign and single player missions are not playable in multiplayer mode, am I missing something obvious, or is this the case?. My son and I want to play the single player missions (especially the #09 Sniper Team) as multi player co-op.
#1 is this possible as the game stands?
#2 if not, has anyone got a version of#09 Sniper Team ( and any other single player mission) that is playable as a co-op multi?. Failing that, how do I change the read only attributes of the original missions to allow me to edit them in the mission editor to make them CO-OP multiplayer?
#3 I cannot get my MS joystick (FF#2) to work at all in the game even though I have set it to "joystick enabled" in the options menu. Is the joystick option viable?.

As I said I am sure these have been covered before but I had a look and could't find anything about them in earlier posts.

Thanks
JF

I downloaded a collection of the missions from the original campaign that had been converted to co-op, a while back I'm pretty sure it was via a link on The Avon Ladys faq site.

Hi,
I'm still relatively new at this editing thing but I can offer you a couple of tidbits. First, I have the regular edition of OFP but I do use a Gravis Blackhawk Digital Joystick (No longer produced) with no problems and find it extremely helpful, esp. in flying choppers.  ;D
Second, I've gotten a lot of MP missions and most of them I've received just by joining MP games on GameSpy.com . :)
Third, I would say that you would be able to edit most missions by using some of the tools available on this website ... (.pbo tools , OFPTool Collection, etc.) You may need an additional decrypter for some of the stock missions, however. ???
     Good Luck!   :D

When a mission is "exported" from the mission editor, its files are encoded and concatenated together into a single file that has the extension .PBO

Several tools exist that can reverse the process, one of them is PBO Decryptor by Amalfi. Run the app, find the mission in:
(Wherever the game is installed)\Codemasters\OperationFlashpoint\Missions\09SniperTeam.Cain.pbo
and hit Decompress.

This will create a directory called 09SniperTeam.Cain in the same directory as above. You'll need to move it to the directory:
(Wherever the game is installed)\Codemasters\OperationFlashpoint\Users\(Your name)\missions\

Fire up OFP and hit Mission Editor. When asked to select an island, select Kolgujev. This is because the extension Cain in the mission's name means it's there. (.Eden = Everon, .Abel = Malden, .Intro = Desert Island, .Noe = Nogova) When Kolgujev has loaded, click Load and select 09SniperTeam from the pop-up menu. Zoom in real close (by using your mouse-wheel) on square Fb59 and you'll see the player character with a red circle around him, two AI's (Blackop's) flanking him (shown as thin green circles with a "nose").

Double click on one of the AIs and look for Control in the top-left section of the dialogue box that appears. Change its setting to Playable from the pop-up menu and click OK. The AI should now have a magenta circle around him. Do the same with the other AI (in case you'd ever be three wanting to play this mission :)).

You're done. Click Save and select Export to multiplayer missions in the Save as... pop-up menu. It should now appear under Kolgujev in multiplayer.
