How to get a nice overview image

I have a strange problem. I made a screenshot, re-sized it into 256x128 and it looks nice.
But when I put it into the overwiew, it doesn't look as good as before. The quality seems to be worse, or something like this. In the overwiew I have given such values:

so the image should be smaller than the original one and look as good as it. But it's not as sharp as it should be.
I took a look at the BIS single-mission or campaign overwiews and those images are sharp and clear. I wonder how have they done it?
