Replacing AI in multiplayer
« on: 10 Feb 2011, 21:57:47 »
In the multiplayer maps of ARMA you can replace an AI soldier after death instead of becoming a bird. Is this possible with OFP? If it is, what do I need to add to the editor when creating your very own MP map? I'd like to change the setting so that after death you wil replace an AI as long as there are any friendly units left.

That's possible. When I play multi-player missions, I can appear in a IA. Just You have decrypt the mission, so You can play it in the mission editor or wait to somebody to give you a tutorial. for example Savedbygrace, Walter_E_Kurtz or RKurtz or any other member.

I hope it helps

You should have (in your mission folder) a file called description.ext

If you don't, copy and paste one from another mission. In this file change to or write the line

respawn="group";

There are alternatives, but I've forgotten them off the top of my head. Just un-pbo one of the vanilla CTF missions.

The Respawning Tutorial should be able to answer most of your questions.
