SR-47 (M4 chambered for 7.62x39mm)

Here's a model in progress of the SR-47.  It's an M4 that has been chambered for 7.62x39mm and modified to accept Russian AK47 mags.  There is also an SR-74 in development, and I will create these two weapons for an add-on pack.

This means that as an American 'blackops' unit, you will be able to pick up enemy ammo and use it.

This is one of the highest detail/polycount weapons that I've ever made, I will have to decide what limit to use for the polycount.  I will probably have to reduce some of the current details - but at least I had fun making it.  The aimpoint optic will be improved, this is a placeholder model that I borrowed from a previous weapon model that I made.

Wires, I'm not sure what I'll do for different versions.  I think the aimpoint version will be too good - why have open sight then?  It would look pretty cool I guess, but I don't want too many versions.  I don't think I'll make an unsuppressed version.

It will probably just be an add-on with SR-47 as shown below and an SR-74 (5.45x39mm) version (maybe different optics on that one just for some variety).

BTW, this weapon ships with Knights suppressor as standard, as it's meant for CQB, MOUT, and cave/tunnel fighting. Apparently the Russian 7.62mm is unbearably LOUD in this particular weapon.
One question: You are configuring this to accept the standard Russian 7.62/5.45 ammo in the .BIN, right? Is that going to allow for a silenced weapon in game?

    Believe when i say that the best thing on that is the Aimpoint, Iron sights, in real life Require you to Close one Eye and Focus, while the Aimpoint allows you to have both eyes open allowing for better target acquisition with greater speed. so in all honesty, WHO CARES IF ITS UNBALANCED Lets kick tail and take names, And be unfair as possible! But All in all You have a pretty sweet model and I cant wait to use it!

it looks cool but make the textures of the magazine the same as for the AK47 or it wont look the same

As for the silenced bit.. The weapon doesn't decide whether its silent or not but the ammo says that so if you use BIS's AK47 ammo it won't be silenced

Thats what I was afraid of. Well wait, the .bin entry could be modified right? Then I guess all AK fire would be silenced... sigh. Any ideas for a work around?

well i think it will only be used in custom missions anyway so why not make 1 type of ak that is like this same sound and ammo so u could go round pickin up mags or what ever or u could just give them ur mags to replace grenades :-\

Hmmm... I know at Tales of War they made an M14 and M21 Pack that could use BIS M21 Ammo, I think, but there was a new sound too, Try asking one of them about it, or set it up to take mulitpule Ammo types, I think thats Possible, otherwise ask your Ompa Loompas,  ;D

Updated the aimpoint - now it matches the detail of the rest of the weapon.  Now I just need to texture it and export into the game...
