3D Flashpoint
« on: 20 Sep 2010, 19:59:34 »
Today I was experimenting with 3D flashpoint. What I did was write a script to take 2 screenshots 7cm apart. Then I used a photo editing program to make it into a red/blue image for 3D glasses. It worked perfectly.  :D

Then I had the idea of running OFP in 3D. Personally I couldn't do it because I'm not good enough at programming - but all the tools are there: Just look at DXDLL.

It would be amazing if it worked, wouldn't it?  :o

What do you think?

EDIT: If you want to see a program that runs realtime in red/blue for 3D glasses, take a look at this: www.minecraft.net

People have run OFP in 3D - there was a thread on the BIS site, but it is from a couple of years ago. If I recall, the problems were that they were using shutter glasses (which halve the framerate) and that the gun-sights were 2D.

Edit - found the link
