Creating Islands & Objects
« on: 12 Feb 2010, 20:17:01 »
Hi guys,

Having seen all the great islands & objects that people have made for OFP: CWC, I thought I'd give it ago (how hard can it be ) Thing is I haven't a clue what editors I need.
I've currently got the following:
WrpEdit
Pbox V1.0
ODOL Explorer V2.0 (which keeps asking for Oxygen???)

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers in advance

J

You need WrpEdit, and you have it. One thing less to worry about.

Next, you do not need any of those listed tools. And ODOL Explorer which asks for Oxygen is actually what you use to view models for your OFP addons (at least I think so).

Next thing you want to grab off the internet is Wilbur. It is a tool that makes terrain editing easy. For tutorials on it search the webiste you will download it from.

For WrpEdit tutorials search "Editors Depot" on this site.

Edit: Also, try to search for your answers on the forum.
If you see a light at the end of the tunnel, then it's probably an enemy tank.

yeap wrprdit is great... you get a great tutorial which i reccomend you to read first. Once you get your way around the editor the only thing you will find lacking is your ideas (at least i did)... and dont go too crazy with objects. i have a good rig and frame rate on my maps drops down to 30 on 1000m visibility...
