Briefing Manager and pictures?

Anyone know how to add Pics using the briefing manager?it just asks you for the picture name but says cant find it when i play the mission? Its a jpg file should it be another type?

Hi,

JPG is ok but the picture must be in your mission directory if you just give the file name. And dont forget the extension: picture.jpg

ye is my mission folder in a sub folder called "img"

In that case you should add the subfolder in the picture name: img\picturename.jpg.

Now it will work.

Yea, that's the reason it's telling you not found. However, if you don't get an error and just can see the image or its all black, it's because it has to be squared off, e.g. 256*256 or 512*512.
You can use Photoshop or GIMP (free) to resize or crop it.

No.

Arma does only consider your actual mission directory as the root.

So img\picturename.jpg is all you have to type in the insert picture dialog.
