Looks Good! how will this be armed? is it AA or AT? I'm not sure but is the F15 a Carrier Based Aircraft like the F14 and the F/A 18? but I'm lookin' for good Fighter Addons now and this looks great!

Sorry DeadSoldier - but the only reason the F15 has a hook is incase the brakes fail, then the aircraft can "catch" the arrestor wire at the end of the runway.

The airframe of the f15 is not stressed to take the catapult launches, and arrested landings (they have to be inspected after each arrested landing on a normal runway), it is also too fast to land on a carrier - as its landing speed is far too high for the lenght of carrier deck available.

So i'm sorry, but the f15 is in no way capable of operating from a carrier :(

thnx deadmeat. i wasn;t so sure about it landing on the carrier, I just saw a hook in a lot of them, so i thought that they made it land on carrier incase. I didn;t even implement the hook into the model cause i didn;t realy wanna give a chance for ppl to turn away from its main role.

cheers

Yeah, if your interested do a quick comparison of the landing gear struts and stall speeds of Naval aircraft versus Air Force aircraft.  The gear on all carrier capable aircraft is considerably beefed up and the Navy only buys planes with a low stall speed.

Well there isn't a Carrier in OFP... yet, so it really doesn't matter, but does the U.S. Navy fly these? or is it just Air Force? any how, I'll get it when it's done  ;)

Naw, the U.S. Navy has no F-15's to my knowledge.  They have some F-16N fighters but they have deactivated them according to Tigershark, which is a crying shame because they made great adversary fighters at the Topgun school out at NAS Fallon Nevada.  BTW, those F-15's look fantastic!

An interesting sidenote for those of you Britons wondering if you are soon going to war along with the U.S.  I live in Tucson Arizona home of Davis Mothan AFB and the desert training center where our forces train for combat in the Middle East is right nearby here.  Over the past 3 weeks or so, I have been looking up into the Tucson skies to watch British Tornado fighters screaming in and out of Davis Monthan on combat training ops alongside the U.S. squadrons on a daily basis.  I also saw a whole squadron of Jaguars landing, but I didn't catch the nationality.  I'm assuming England or maybe the Aussies.  Davis Monthan seems to really have stepped up its training schedule recently because I've seen alot of Marine Harriers, F-15's, F-16's, F-22's, B-1B's and F-117's coming and going and DM is an A-10 base!

It is kind of difficult to see the plane in those nightime pic's, dude. It's paint scheme is like flat black, It's actually very dark olive drab... obviously you got the camo correct. So, as in real life it would be difficult to see- but those night time picture wont do it any justice.
Do us a favor and put up some daytime pics so that we can actually SEE the model. I'm particularly interested in the payload... keep in mind this is a heavy ground-attack night-strike fighter-bomber. Heavy emphasis on bomber. It's only air to air armament would typically be four AIM-9M/X's and the M61 20mm six-barrel Vulcan rotary cannon with five hundred rounds of HEAPI-T shells. It can carry AIM-120C AMRAAM's as well, but would rarely do this, as it's supposed to be escorted into anemy airspace like any other bomber. You can hang just about any weapon in the Air Force inventory on the Strike Eagle. It would typically be carrying the JDAM, JSOW, JASSM and WCMD, as well as the devastating AGM-130, BLU-109, and GBU-XX series of guided munitions. Of course there are also the MK80 series of gravity bombs. It can aslo be used for SEAD ( Suppression of enemy air defences... anti-radar/anti-SAM/anti-AAA sites. ) Close Air Support, ( Tank busting ) and anti-shipping strikes.

theres no typical payload for the F-15 dude cause for one they add the weapons according to mission plan they just dont Have a "Typical" payload with every mission exept the 20mm Vulcan cannon so in other words they just dont throw 4 aim 9's on it man for a "Typical" armament.  As far as im concerned the people that come up with the mission plan in real lifes sake decide which weapons go where and how many they want.

and i will go take some day time pics.
