G'day

Briefly,

To edit the alpha channel of a pic you
select MASKS
select LOAD FROM ALPHA CHANNEL
at this point your pic is ready to be edited
when finished,
select MASKS
select SAVE TO ALPHA CHANNEL
select Alpha Channel 1
Overwrite?---YES
select FILES
SAVE AS...
blahblah only one alpha channel will be saved--YES

That's about it for now
hope this helps

It might be because it is saved with compression on.

Try saving it again with compression off, (in the Save As window under options when TGA has been selected).

The only other thing I noticed is under Image Characteristics.
The Bits Per Plane is set to 32. This may have something to do with the alpha channels. I have no idea about this one but I thought I'd mention it.

Dont know if I've been any help!  :-\

G'day

Your picture opens up in Texview fine for me.
What do you mean when you say Texview doesn't like it?
Maybe your Texview ain't quite right...
When I save pictures it's  uncompressed, 24 bits

make sure that the texture is the right size. It should be a multiple of 2 ie.. 64, 128, 256, 512 on each side.

Thanks for the help guys, it's sorted now, I just cut the wheel out of old tga and pasted into the background of the BIS Jeep steering wheel and it works.
