ARMA apache optic zoom

heya guys. im makin a slap-up AC130 spooky gunship using an apache config, got all the weapons i want but i can barely see the targets cos i set the apache's hight to like 1000 meters and the zoom isnt enough. anyways, just wondering how i can change the zoom of the apache's gun? Is the and Addon/Config question or script question?
Not sure how you are knocking this addon together.

If you are editing the config you'd probably be playing with these values;

            class ViewOptics {
         initFov = 0.800000;
         minFov = 0.300000;
         maxFov = 1.200000;
                  };
