Only way I've found to "count kills" without using a "killed" eventHandler on every possible enemy unit is through the rating command. I.e., create an array of all the units and their ratings, and then whenever it goes up it means the unit has killed something (or has been given rating through the mission
).
Of course, that's a bit primitive and not very exact (i.e., can't make a list of WHAT was killed), and can potentially be demanding if checked on many units simultaneously.
Otherwise I guess simply having a "killed" eventhandler on every enemy unit and grab the data from there should work!
