it is beacause it has a very realistisk MIL-STE 1913 rail interface and somthings have been rounded so it looks better and it has shell deflekter, forward assist and some other thins that makes it more realistik to look ad.

Aimpoints don't have a red glare when looking into it from behind. They do from the front, but a glare reducer is most often put in place to counter this. ;)

I'm eagerly awaiting its release.

BTW did you know that Crane labs has come out with a SPR II? (and it seems there is a transitional between the SPR and the SPR 2). I just found out about this week.

They changed the freefloat tube and the Front Sight (its now mounted on the tube instead of on the gas block).

If you interested let me know, and I can point you toward the info & pics.

you must tell me about it.
If can make it worke I will come whit my own SOPMOD M4A1 whit a realistic looking KAC rail interface and flattop.
The SPR's Bipod has been foled out and it looks much better now i think. But ofcause this is the first 1.0 and it stil need a bit of worke.

Registered,
From the shooters view there is no red glare. From the enemies view there would be a reddish glare unless you've put a glare-reducer in place (A little thing you screw in place in front of the sight)

Hope that helps ;)

Here is the link to the info on the newer versions of the SPR http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=12&t=143507

Marsuiter is correct about the view through the Aimpoints.  From your side it looks clear - from the business end its a reddish tint (like on the cover of the flashpoint box).

If you want to do a Reflex (from the SOPMOD kit for the M4s) its still a reddish tint from the business end - but a blue tint from the users point of view.
