Initialize with stinger

so im still getting the hang of the whole scripting thing, but i cant for the life of me figure out how to make these AA troops initializa with their stinger missile launchers out in ArmA... ive tried:
this selectWeapon stinger
and i tried an action command
aa10 switch weapon ["STINGER"]

im probably missing something really simple...any help?

No it cannot be done, I think it was the same in OFP.

selectWeapon doesn't appear to work to well in most situations....maybe all.

If you remove all his weapons then give him back just his Stinger and one missile he will still not have it ready to fire.

If an enemy chopper rolls by however he will eventually fire at it.

is it possible to make them switch their weapon if not using initialization?

ive been pulling my damned hair out (literally, i have bald patches) trying to figure out how to make this AA group shoot down this air patrol.

None I can think of.

I tried ordering my guy to engage the enemy chopper, he just ignored me.

I have a feeling they will not engage unless the chooper is fairly close....about 200m maybe....or less.....strange.

Moving closer to where the chopper is hovering seems to make him engage anyway.
