Script editors
« on: 09 Sep 2006, 18:02:05 »
Hi i was wondering if there was any editors such as chrisis ofp editor that could do loadouts i.e the description file, with the addons you have. I know you can just add them manualy but, for those familliar with chrisis ofp editor it has a menu that you choose from all the stock stuff to add as equpment, ammo, and weapons. What i am looking for is an editor just like this, but that list of stock stuff is not confined jsut to stock stuff, like it scans your comp or somthing and picks up those addons you have that are 3rd party and you cna select the weapons and such from those.

Very good idea which has been on my mind too. To get the classnames directly from the PBO's so you wouldn't need to write them yourself, just select from a list.

You could add all your addon classnames into Chris' OFP Script Editor's data files but that would be a manual process which you apparently do not want to do...?

Well there's a little work on it, but often addons come with a list of classnames too, so you can pick weapon classnames & ammo classnames from there.
Edit the file *\Chris' OFP Script Editor\Data\Resistance\data.txt

I added USMC & FDF addons in my file there, dunno if they're all in place as they should but hey...  :afro:

See attached file

Like Seven,  my *\Chris' OFP Script Editor\Data\Resistance\data.txt has all the BAS and LSR weapons that I use in missions. It would be cool if it was automated but the file, at least on my OFP install would be so large it would be unmanageable.

Why do I have to be a Rocket Scientist to make a good mission?
