custom world textures is 1.85

Hi,
I'm doing my own island right now and I want to include some custom textures. I'm still working with 1.46, but my custom textures remain white in the game although they work in WrpEdit.
Surago Island has lots of cutom textures and they all work. I think it was made for version 1.75 but works also for 1.46 and the textures do show. Some other islands were made under 1.3 and the textures work. So I was wondering if it was just a thing of version 1.46 not to accept custom textures?
Do custom textures work under 1.75 or 1.85?
(Btw: now that the patch has been released, this is only a minor reason to upgrade!)
