the only type of sam that can be made in ofp are the ones using tube launched missiles, the ones using a big missile that you can see and then to launch (basically like a hellfire or maverick) cant be done, as these sam stations rotate and when they rotate the missile doesnt, its pretty hard to explain without going into proxies, but basically it wont work :), so only things like the SA-13 and SA-15 can be done, (also remember anything with wheels cant have missiles)

well i was gonna overcme this problem by either -

making the SAM a tank class and just not put tracks on and no fuel - etc - like the LST wont move.

or

make it stationary.

The DKM Mod made a mobile missile armed tank (M-109 ADATS) that  when locked onto a target fired a missile that usually went and hit the enemy. Although thats not what your really looking for thats something similar

Hope that helps ;)

I will be making an SA-13 Gopher for the Hoffmans Luck mod, along with its command and control vehicle, and radar vehicle.

It will be done in a month or so...

This maybe a bit off the wall but how about using the Scud code to biuld one of the early SAM missiles(the big huge bomber killers), if you could work out a way to lock the scud onto a target it might do as a proxy.
then again this is probably just a load of crap thats has been debunked many times previously.
