The description.ext files dont work... Please help

Ok - I have just started to make my own missions about two weeks ago. Most things I found out myself, then I discovered this website.

I have found the Information about the description.ext stuff and followed it trough many times exactly as it says in the tutorials. But they dont work.
I open a notepad... Type in respawn=4: respawndelay=10 for example... Then I save it as description.ext.... I also did set my system not to display file ext. so it doesnt accidently says description.ext.txt.
then I paste it in OFP/Users/Tempest(thats me)/MPmissions/and then into the mission folder like example "Bridge in the Swamp".

I also know that respan doent work from the editor and i must start the MP game as normal... but there is no respawn.

the same problem I have with the Briefings they dont come up.  my assumption is that I probably paste the description file into the wrong place. Argh - I am so desperate, for I have made already about eight missions without briefing (briefing is done on the map with markers) and I would like to have Group Respawn.

it's very difficult to diagnose a problem without seeing the symptoms first-hand.

best solution would be for you to zip the folder with your mission, briefing and description files and attach the zip folder to your next post. we'll take a look and see what's wrong.

Indeed, welcome to Ofpec. Bedges suggestion is a good way to recieve help. But there is also a common mistake that a lot of people do when they start to work with their first description.ext file.

Does your Windows hide fileextensions? If so, check that Windows didn't rename your description.ext to description.ext.txt upon saving.

So as you reqested I attached the mission to this mail, so you can have a look at it. My plan is to first sass out how to do respawn, second the briefings  then cool new music. When I am more experianced I am already looking foreward uploading my missions for other players.
