Abort Scud Launch and Lower missile
« on: 12 Aug 2006, 16:06:32 »
Does anyone know if there is a way to make a scud launcher lower the missile back into the transport position? I want to be able to abort a launch, lower the missile then drive the scud to a new location. There is no standard BIS action to do this. Maybe it could be scripted using the ANIMATE command <myscud ANIMATE ["??????", 0]> but unless I know the name of the animation for the missile lifter and the proxy missile on the scud launcher I cannot do it. Does anyone know the animation name? I tried looking in the commented config, but I only see a reference to an rtm file <scudlaunch.rtm>. Maybe if I could look in the rtm file? Can rtm files be veiwed? When I open it with notepad I just see a bunch of ASCII symbols (nothing I can read). Any help is appreciated.

I do not believe there is an animation for what you'd like to do.  It would require another animation (the raise animation, just in reverse).  An .rtm file is an animation file, used by Flashpoint.  I wish the Ed. Depot were up and running.. there were a few tutorials available in relation to animation making/config writing.

Try looking here.

Well, in that case it will be easier to just find an addon scud that will allow more user manipulation. Of the many addon scuds maybe one uses normal animation phases for the missile deployment. If that is the case I will just make use of one of those.  Thanks.
