Weapon Angle + Turret Rotation angle
« on: 26 Jul 2006, 13:14:20 »
I was just wandering whether or not it is possible to set the rotation angle of a tanks turret, Because I wanted to have a T72 which was sat there with its turret rotated 90 degrees to the right and its barrel aimed up in the air. And I would like to know if this is possible with or without invisible targets, thanks  :)

I am not 100% sure, but if you made a game logic an enemy and set its position in air and put it where you want tank to aim, tank should aim. If you make it so tank cant fire aswell, should do it.

I dont think there is a other way.

Nope, the tank won't target game logics..

But the invisible targets should do the trick, that's the only way I know of...

Well you could have a little script running to keep an enemy tank in the air where you want the tank to target then give a few seconds for the tank to target then delete its gunner and then turret should stay at that angle.
Not sure of how much a good idea that is cuase i dont know when you want the turret to be turned.

Anyway easiest would surely be the invisible targets.
