Basic waypoint question
« on: 02 Jun 2006, 02:50:14 »
I am trying to make a mission where a bus picks up civilians at several bus stops and drops them off, then the civs walk up to another location.  How do i get the bus to stop at the stops and let the civs on, and how do I get the civs to get on the bus?

thanks

Uh Huh  :D       Well, start by making the bus waypoints, make a waypoint called "LOAD" at the area of the pickup then do a waypoint that is "TRANSPORT UNLOAD" at the dropoff, beware there is an "UNLOAD" which is for grouped units, and "TRANSPORT UNLOAD" which is the one you want.

Now onto the group of civs,  Make a waypoint at the Pickup site called "GET IN" and go up the your toolbar and select "SYCHRONIZE" then single click on the Waypoint for GET IN and drag it over to the LOAD Waypoint and there should be a pinkish line between the two waypoints now,  this will tell teh civs to board the bus.  Thats it, I hope it works for you, i hope my english is understandabel because i was born in Wisconsin  ;D   PLz let me know how it turns out, it will boost my self esteem ;)

Just a small thing I made for a chopper pickup but it's the same thing you want.

There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who get it, and those who don't.
