wrptool centering problem
« on: 23 Jan 2006, 00:20:29 »
Hey everyone!

I have a small problem, I have a island i made in wrptool and right now its in the form of a 512 map and is in the lower right hand corner of the grid. The map can easily be put in a 256 map so i wanted to do that (hopefully to help with lag, why have a 512 map when almost 75% of it is water right?)
So I exported the area I want with wrptool by using the tool button "select area with box" and saved my new wrp file
Started a new 256 map and imported the island, all is good except I cannot get the map to be centered, no matter what x and z coordinates i put in, the map imports in the same spot everytime!
Any suggestions?

the area I export out of the 512 map is this..
start x = 10  start y = 37
end x = 86  end y = 96

thanks

Ok, you need to create a 256 map.  Do this by clicking File-New
Type in 256 in the prompt box

Ok, now click File-Import WRP Cells and choose the name of the map you exported earlier.

Now, halfway down the prompt box a little check box says:
Destination Start Cell

Make sure that box is checked.

By adjusting the start numbers just below that box you can adjust where WRPTool puts the imported cells.  For example, if you wanted to center the imported cells on the 256 map, then use these numbers:

                X                Y
START:    90              98

I hope that has helped you out.
