Helos attacking Infantry?

How do I get a non-player helicopter to attack infantry?

It's a problem, but it has been solved.  Have a good search of the forums and the Editors Depot - there is some useful stuff somewhere.

I searched and saw a way to do ti with invisible targets, but I was thinking more along the lines of any infantry unit on the map...

I don't think it's going to be possible without invisible targets, at least not without significantly altering weapon and target costs in the config.bin/cpp.

There is no foolproof way.     Reveal commands help a bit.    The reason people use invisible targets is that even when the chopper knows the enemy infantry is there, and is in a position to attack, it is often reluctant to do so.

ive found a way to get infantry to attack helos not tried it the other way around but could be worth a go

get the chopper give it a waypoint openfire, engage at will and combat mode
switch the WP to hold i think it is, make the chopper fly rather slow and make it fly at about 30m using this flyinheight 30 should do it

add a couple of reveal commands and it should attack the infantry aslong as they opose a threat i think works for me to get infantry attack choppers

Have ya tried:  unitname dotarget targetname in the Activation field?
