Indeed welcome.  I am afraid I don't fully understand the question.  Are you talking about the voice communications between players during multi-player or the command sidechat in single player?

In single player:

unitname sidechat "This what I want to say"

will result in:
This what I want to say
appearing in the bottom left of the screen

I somehow think this does not answer your question.

Maybe...well I havent done it...but think of this...

If U send the text through a dialog,

lbAdd [idc, text]    ....._index = lbAdd [101, "global, group, side or vehiclechat text"]

and then check the color with

lbColor [idc, _index]

Depending the result U can then decide what chat was used.

The standard colors of global-group-side-vehicle chat can be found in the config I guess..

Maybe U can use a dialog who is already defined in Resource.bin...

Donno,will do some testing.
