need advice please

lo all,i am new to ofp online and wanted to know if there are any addons i need to be able to play,the reason i am asking is because i have been kicked from some servers when trying to connect and was wondering if i need something or other to be able to get on.
i am fully updated to 1.96 and i am not using any custom configs or models or anything like that.
one more thing if i may,can you recomend any noob friendly servers or any useful tools for me please.

You probably get kicked because of your custom files (face, sounds) or maybe because your CD key is illegal.
If the mission requires addons and you don't have them, you should get a message "Cannot load mission, missing addons: addon_name"
