Light effects
« on: 05 Sep 2005, 02:18:46 »
I was just wondering. Is there any way to get rid of the cone of light that you see when a light is on at night?

god, I know so very little about addons but this might help?

the aef_realLights and all of the others which do the same thing use a campfire as the simulation. this kills the cone (as I understand your question) but gives an annoying flicker as payback.

Just say no to bugz

I'm not an addon expert, but while creating a small light effect addon for my mission, I found out that "brightness" in the config.cpp also influences the size of the cone.
With low brightness (like a camp fire has) the cone is almost invisible.

You can try brightness = 0.650 for example
