3ds Files
« on: 01 Aug 2005, 15:47:59 »
I recently recieved 3D Studio Max and created some models in it to export into OFP. I did no texturing or any special stuff, simply just modelling. When I imported the file into Oxygen, the program failed and exited. I tried with several other models, and only one of them worked. I had 2 small models and one big one. The big one worked, however I had to export it in pieces, the other small ones which contained less data than the "big one" pieces never could load in oxygen. Is there anything specific about 3ds files that Oxygen does not like. At first I thought it was because of the polylimit.

shulks, wrong place, should go into "3d Modelling"
I'll wait for the magic hand to move it

What version of 3D Studio max are you using?
Exporting from 7 imports no problem

If you've not textured them, I suggest exporting an ASCII 3DSM File (Or similar..).
Extension is .asc
Then in the O2 > Open > Filetype box, you can select this, and I've never had a problem importing this from any program.
