When you get the DXDLL download and unzip it....or was it rar......never mind.

You end up with a folder called dxdll and a file called d3d8.dll

Just copy/paste both files into your OFP folder.

Then start the game.

btw....the dxdll folder holds the configuration utility for this....you might want to run that beforehand to configure things the way you want.

Cessena Fun.......try ofp.cz

You need to install/extract it so the Dxdll folder is in your OFP root folder,
And that other file.. Thingy, in your OFP Root folder aswell, not in the Dxdll folder.

It works allright with me, just the fact that on Desert Island, as i put postprocessing Off, my FPS is 60.
When i put it on, it's 30!
It goes like this on all the islands, really gets my FPS down and everything is going... slower, as in slowmotion.

Btw, my system specs;

-AMD Athlon XP 2200+ Processor
-ATI Radeon 9250 128 MB Videocard
-512 DDR PC3200 400 Mhz Ram Memory
-Uhm... And i'm running OFP:R

Anyone might got a solution to my "low FPS" problem? I'd apreciate it.

OFP was running slow on my PC with my ATI Radeon 9550. When I downloaded the ATI Catalyst 5.1b(i believe) the speed increased by nearly 200 percent, and it could handle the best settings and still run smoothly.

ATI Catalyst is at www.ati.com (i suppose)

REMEMBER: Do not in anyway click on the OFP configuration exe file, and click auto detect. It makes the game speed half of what i got from Catalyst. Plus i've been trying for weeks to get it back to normals. I guess the effects are irreversable. DAMN BIS!

PS: With catalyst, lower settings in OFP seem to slow down the game. If you put the settings in OFP to full, the game will run much more smoothly

I assume you looked though the advanced settings? If the texture sizes are all huge, it'll slow the computer down
But yeh, updating drivers does help performace, but don't upgrade them if you dont have any problems! I.e dont update them just because theres a new version. Look on the BI Forums for the ammount of driver-related problems made by the new drivers...

Anyway, kinda of topic.. But oh well :P

Any ATI Catalyst merely attaches itself to your current drivers and improves performance/quality
