BINARIZE.EXE NOT WORKING!!!

Hello Everybody  :wave:, I am a beginner at creating addons for OFP. I was wondering if any of you have any suggestions to help me get the binarize program to run properly (I have windows XP). My problem is: the moment I double-click on binarize.exe to run the program, the MS-DOS prompt window opens up but after 1 second it closes!   I don't know what to do, in order for my models to work on my game I need to binarize them! But I can't because of this problem!

Any help is greatly apprieciated!

I have no idea what binarize does or how it works. But I think you need to pass it some parameters (by editing the properties of the shortcut), or else run it from DOS with params. No clue what to do though.

Someone released a GUI for use with the program though! It is called "binarizeIT" by Col. Klink. Search the official forums and you'll be sure to find it. Guess it needs to get hosted here at OFPEC though.

Well thank you guys for your suggestions  , I downloaded "Binarize it", but it doesn't work because I dont have Visual Basic 6.0!

And how do I run Binarize.exe properly?

as the readme says which accompanies binarize

(paraphrased)

create a folder off your c drive as in

C:\thingo

next copy your addon folder into that folder

extract the contents of the binarize.zip into that folder

go to a dos prompt  (start->accessories->command Prompt)

cd \thingo

binarize fred

fred is the name of your addon folder
