Changing Texture paths.
« on: 29 Jun 2005, 11:56:41 »
Just wondering what the trick is, I know howto hex edit etc but often when I change a path that is not same charactor length as there the other the model file becomes currupt.

Just wondering if there is any tips around on howto do this easily as I wish to correct some texture destinations.

I have looked into the Texture Changing tool etc but found it didn't work too well at all with my P3d, probably due to having too much data.

I heard this is best to do in Odol, anyknow know of a decent mlod to odol tool? I tried the bin thing but I don't trust it as it spits out errors all over the place.

Ok well I found that binit and all, seems that binarize.exe just crashes on me, odd that. Sigh

(perhaps wrong vb6 version, damn the lack of documentation)

Life saver, is only for MLOD, use hex edit replace function for ODOLS .

If you are wanting to change the texture paths for MLOD files it is much easier to do it with Oxygen.

ODOL files can be done in a hex editor, unless you feel like converting them back into MLOD first with ODOL Explorer..

Unfortunately ODOL Explorer does some strange things in the conversion process sometimes.
