benchmark?
« on: 26 Jun 2005, 02:05:09 »
I want to use 3 stages of benchmark

fast computers
average computers
slow computers

Mine's got to be fast since it can play Half Life 2 on highest graphics above 30 fps lol.
But I want to measure it. I've heard about the possibility of a benchmark check but what command is it in game?

While the topic is open, may I ask what your comp's specs are, and what your benchmark is?

Always nice to shed more light on the scale of this command. :)

that should work but do you want a hint saying what your benchmark is or do you just want to do other things with it ?

Code: [Select]
hint format ["%1",benchmark]
if you find the FlashpointPreferences.exe and run it, it will have a section displaying your benchmark. press 'auto-detect' and it will update.

my benchmark is 5050 on all settings maximised even with auto-detect. Very strange I have a very high performance computer, with 1 of the best video cards and CPU chips that exist. (no not the radeon x850xt premium!!)

Game settings have no effect on benchmark.     It is a very crude measure of your computer's speed and is based primarily on cpu/motherboard.     I suspect video cards etc have little or no effect.
