Up-to-date scripts wanted!

Hi all!

I was over at the official forums earlier, checkin out the 'ol editing board there. Anyway, there was a post 'respawn script needed'.

Some kind fellow had posted a link to the new ed depot script section, and I though, 'what a champ', so I clicked on the link and was presented with the all-too-familiar script snippet listing.

It hit me like a bullet to the head: most of our snippets are old, out of date, and perhaps incompatible with resistance!

So, if you find yourself bored and wondering what to do with yourself, please either update some snippets, or even write some new ones for us!

Working snippets are hard to come by these days given the way some commands work differently in resistance.

For example, we don't even have a respawn script that uses the new createobject command!

we'll never have enough tutorials, snippets or tools in the ed depot, so start uploading

What is the syntax for the createObject command? Pretty pleez...

Either it's not in the official or unoffical command references or my copies are way out of date.

Ok, cheers. I was all excited there for a second, thought there was a new undocumented command to play with.

On topic: There's an impending release of v1.85, correct?
Are there new commands or changes to commands in that? Will more old scripts become incompatible? Or should I really be annoying people at flashpoint1985.com with this question?

And off topic: If it's possible to create new YABBC tags / inserts.. Perhaps a script reference drop box that has syntax for commands? Could just insert them.. Just so there are less threads full of this sort of back and forthing? Ok, that's a lot of work (actually, I'd be willing to volunteer - I'm a web designer & I'm sure I could cope.. *L*).
Would make questions easier to answer if you can just drop the relevant command with syntax into the message, and easier to ask, too.

I know snYpir has been away for a few days which is why there has been no response to your excellent suggestion.   Thanks for volunteering!     I'll bring this thread to his attention.

Updating or create news scripts fully compatible 1.75 (soon 1.85) is a good idea, BUT first you must to clear depot script section and delete outdated- obsolete or crappy old scripts  :-X
