BAS Helos
« on: 19 May 2005, 20:54:28 »
I've contacted BAS but they have yet to reply to my question, How can I script the BAS MH-47E to first Hold Position, Fast Rope everyone in it's cargo, and then fly off without one of the players being grouped with the chopper?

I do believe this information was included with the addon, in the readme document I think.

Not that I saw, but I'll check again.

No, the readme explains how it can be done if you are in the chopper as a group leader or as the pilot, but not as if you are not grouped. Specifically I have a co-op idea that has the BAS Helo fast rope us onto a building, but I don't want to have to have it "rough around the edges" so to speak as to a player having to stay grouped and hit the commands themselves.

Well, BAS is no more AFAIK, although some of them still drift in now and then.

Maybe one of them will see this and respond.

Thanks for the help mods. I'm glad someone around here can help, unlike trolls who e-mail you with profanity.

Anyways, do you think anything like

helo action ["Hold Position"] (if you know BAS chopper you know what I mean) or what? I guess if worse comes to worse I could use the rappel scripts I've found but the BAS stuff looks so much smoother.
