Lockable Bullets?

Hi,

        I've been trying to make bullets be able to lock onto soldiers.
I tried to do it by making bullet models and trying it, but due to simulation, it won't work. I've been just wondering if I can make the NORMAL bullets (the lines without any models, just like normal rifles) lock on the soldiers and follow them. Thanks.

I'm not entirely sure I know what you mean.

I do know though, that all bullets and cannon shells use the same p3d model in the game.

Maybe you are talking about the tracers?

I'm no addon expert by any means, but this intrigues me (the fifth element tracking bullets come to mind)...

From an addon standpoint, couldn't you make a weapon that looks like a rifle (or whatever) but is config'd like an AT Launcher, fires "missiles" that have a tiny p3d model instead of a rocket, and have them lock onto the target?

I suspect that animations would be an issue though, as the "class" for launchers all use the same animation to hold an over the shoulder style launcher...

I did all that. I did meneuvaeagbirl... (oops :)) thing and thrust, thrust time, all that kinds... and yes... when I did shootrocket.... the animation comes to a problem...

Also.... my config name was set like this :

AT3 : Default
LAWLauncher (hmm... a guess) : AT3
******(secret :) ) : LAWLauncher

blahblahblahblah blah

and that's how it's set.
