Cut The Lights!
« on: 16 May 2005, 19:44:41 »
I'm not sure if this is a simple query or an advanced one, but it's something that up until now I've never tried so I don't know how to achieve it.

Is it possible to switch OFF street lights? I'm talking about the ones that are already on the map. Is it possible to switch them off manually? Or, set a time when they can switch off?

Any help is much appreciated as it is for an important part of the mission. Cheers, Wacky.

Indeed it is very possible.

In the editor click the 'Show ID's' button.....then zoom in real close to the desired lamppost and note its ID number.

Then you can use that to switch the light on or off.

(object xxxx) switchlight "off"

EDIT:  xxx being the ID number

I like to make the light flicker when I turn them off.

Just thought I'd add that.
