Detection
« on: 05 May 2005, 11:28:25 »
Hi guys:

I have a bunch of spec ops and I need to make different groups that detect them react in different ways so detected by east is no good for me. I want to make triggers or sicripts that their condition says that our guys have been detected by a specific group. I tried to use knowsabout and reveal with no success, either I dont know how to use them in the right way, or they are not good for my situation.
any help,
thank you.

The answer lies in the knowsAbout command.   (Not reveal.)  It's not a simple command to use but there is a fair bit of stuff about it kicking around:  have a really good hunt through the forums and all parts of the Editors Depot including the FAQ and online comref.

thanks guys, I tried my luck with the addon depot and forums before, but I didnt find anything usefull, but at least if macguba is sure that it do-able with knowsabout then I guess I can take it from here.

Thank you...

It is doable.  It's not easy though.   It has come up before though I don't know if anybody came up with a good answer.   Try searching the forum, going back a long way and being persistent.
