help me plz!!

i no you have probably all become sick of being asked this question but i really need help.......ive got some mods in my addons folder and when i try to play flashpoint it comes up with an error saying that im out of video memory. Ive seen somewhere b4 that there is some sort of script that will stop this from happening.....can someone plz help me or at least send me in the right direction. oh and i hav tried searching for it but i havent had any luck.

Go to http://www.theavonlady.org/theofpfaq/ and look from the Troubleshooting section.

I would say that if your OFP worked before (when you didn't have much addons) then it's most probably because you have an overload of addons. But check that site there's a lot of good stuff.

Goatcheese, this problem is solved by modfolders. You can find out about them on one of the many of other similar topics you have created. speaking of which, one topic on the right board will get a friendlier and more in-depth response than many topics on many boards.

The problem might not be fixed with mod folders, at least not if you use ATI videocard...
Then the switch -nomap in the OFP.exe shortcut will do the trick...

I think a thread should be made sticky to tell people what to do with this. I've posted this same message 3 times now  ;D
The simplest answer is here:

1. Right click on the OFP shortcut and select 'Properties'
2. In the 'Target' box by the top, put the following code, instead of the one thats in there already

"C:\Program Files\Codemasters\OperationFlashpoint\FLASHPOINTRESISTANCE.EXE" -nosplash -nomap
3. Click apply, and test it  

That worked for me.

Of course, if you don't have resistance, use this

Code: [Select]

"C:\Program Files\Codemasters\OperationFlashpoint\FLASHPOINTBETA.EXE" -nosplash -nomap

There will be no sticky for two reasons.   Firstly, information is not (in general) kept in the forum where nobody can find it:  it goes in the Editors Depot.
