How to make a car to chase other car?
« on: 02 May 2005, 15:22:13 »
Lets think that there are police car and criminal. The police must follow the criminal with full speed. When the criminal dismebarks from his car, the police disembarks too and starts the chase again.

What is the question?
Will the answer become a tutorial?
Is this really advanced?

Just use some combinations of:

policeman doMove getPos criminal

if (criminal == vehicle criminal) then {unassignVehicle policeman;(units group policeman) allowGetIn false}

I am assuming the policeman is the driver of the policecar

Actually this sort of thing is harder than it looks.   Attached is a script from my beta mission Regina Proeliorum.    It will need some amendment but basically it does what you want:   make one vehicle follow another.    As THobson says, you'll need to add some commands for disembarking
Plenty of reviewed ArmA missions for you to play
