Can not Control the Choppers

Hi,
Anyone else having problems with their choppers leaving their battle position? They just go for the heat of the battle and don`t return when I give them new orders. They just stay out there until they die. Is it possible that they fight from their battle position? Any ideas??

Can you be more specific?  What kind of waypoint are they on?     What kind of battle is it?   Where do they move to?

Hi,
Sorry this is the third time writing this. Ok I am using the CoC waypoints. This is a movement to contact with the tanks in the lead. They come to a stop. As soon as the choppers see the tanks up ahead they start to move toward the enemy tanks. Now once they kill afew, I`ll give them a new WP behind the tank. But they never return. But their mission is to take on any enemy choppers, but by that time their ammo is half gone and they just die fighting the enemy choppers. What can I do to control them better?

 These coppers I was talking about are on CoC waypoints.
They are the covering force for the tanks. But like I said as soon as they see the enemy tanks they start moving toward them. I want them to cover then manuvering force from enemy choppers and not get into a fight with the enemy tanks. Let me know what you thank about what I can do. Thank you.

Choppers are pretty much afraid of anything, especialy unarmed or lightly armed transport helos. In order to fix this, simply set their behaviour to "CARELESS", which, as it says, makes them careless to enemies. Now, they will still fire on enemies, but they won't break course in order to flee from/engage them...
