Well, I do know that if you createvehicle a vehicle.....lets say a cobra......it will take several seconds before you are able to get in it.  The same probably goes for the AI.

That's exactly right mate ;) I think that when you place an obstacle in the editor OFP saves it's "avoidance area" on the map. It would appear that when you camcreate, createvehicle or setpos the "avoidance area" does not follow the unit :(

to make a script would be possible like a helicopter avoidance script just switch names round for the fence and the units the script is in the scripting beta board
