Menu/Action Bars
« on: 20 Apr 2005, 18:42:41 »
Hi,

Searched the Forums to find the answer to this but found nothing.

I am going to use the mission editor to produce a scene therefore avoiding the complications and man hours consumed creating a cutscene.

Using mission instead of Intro.

My Question is Can you remove the Menu and action bars from the screen so as when i use Fraps for instance I have a full screen, ??? Thanks .

I'm not sure I understood youre question, Are you asking how to remove the little Black border that comes when you to camera scripting, thus disabling Widescreen?
I like your approach, lets see your departure.

Hi,

What I am refering to is the bar at the bottom that shows how many men you control.  The Action menu that revealed when you press a function key. Basically any of the menus that show when you play the game. :-\

Remove the group from the player's control temporarily, then give the loons back to him later.

I doubt there is any way of removing it - that's messing with the game engine, not mission editing.
Plenty of reviewed ArmA missions for you to play

Well, actually Kegety's DXDLL has an option to turn off the in-game GUI like you are describing. However, there obviously is no way to ensure that people who play your mission will use that feature. But if you use a camera (either via scripting or via the trigger-based cutscenese), then those don't show up anyway, so I don't think I understand the question...

I think there's a command like disable/enable moviescreen or something. That would hide the command menu. Try searching the ComRef.
