p3d problem?

is there some sort of file size limit to mlod p3ds?
I've mad a giant thing with lots of points but if I load it in game the game works ok untill I see the object the it crashes to desktop it really anoys me but this is just for my knowlege for later projects...


Ps the file size is near 20Mb so it's very big...

I not sure but there may be a point limit but it's not likely

More like the configs got a error

Models are limited in size to 64X64X64 metres.

So. if your model has one dimension that is bigger than 64 metres then it is too big.

Thats the way I understand it anyway.

I also think there is a vertex limit but I don't really know what it might be.  It probably depends on many different factors.

I think it depends what sort of model it is...i.e. a moving vehicle.

64 metres is the practical limit AFAIK.

The 64m limit is for working collision lods like geometry/fire geo/
view geo/roadway etc.

If your object is bigger than that it will still work, but the collision detection won't. It could then happen that e.g: bullet
impacts will not appear on the right places ...etc.

The crash to desktop i'm not sure about - i'll have a look around
to see if i find a real size limit.
