Changing Weapon Sounds ?

Is there a way to change the sound a gun makes ?

I'd like to suppress the sound of guns in the game w/o installing any addon weapons

Just the guns?

Or all sound effects?

IMO there is no way of just supressing the weapon sounds. I.E you can do 0 fadeSound/fadeMusic 0.1 which will decrease Sound/Music volume. But there's no way of doing it just for the weapons.
Unless you make an addon.

You can change weapon sounds - but frankly, it's a lot of effort involving messing with .cpp scripts. You can find more info on it in the Editor's Depot.

Wouldn't recommend changing them unless you're absolutely sure you can handle it. I say that because for myself it's more messing than it's worth - especially with dedicated soundpacks, like Satchel's, out there doing a great job.
