AI to not fire/target
« on: 29 Mar 2005, 13:48:15 »
Ive got a chopper right in a cutscene, and ive got a few AA soldiers around. i dont want the AA soldiers to target the chopper or fire at the chopper. As the chopper is soppose to crash anyway in a certain way.

How would i do this?

I know theres a do target and do fire command, i just want the opposite so the Ai doesnt not fire or target.

Give them a waypoint set to "hold fire" or "never fire".

Yeah but then they wont fire at anyone, and i want them to fire at the other choppers that the players come in. and also the ground troopers that come in.

You could use setCaptive true/false on the critical chopper, but if you want things to happen in a certain way you'll need to micromanage its destruction.   In other words you control which AA loon shoots at it and when, don't leave it up to the AI.
