Decals and CPBO

Hey all,

would someone please explain to me how in god's name to use those CPBO extractor thingies, like in Kegetys' sky, where do I put them in my OFP directory? I've done about 3 now (Llaumax's sky, Kegetys' sky and that new watch thingy) and none of them work! I don't know what's going on! It does the massive time consuming unpacking process, but the files don't seem to be going anywhere.

And another little question, the Russians no longer use red stars on their armour and aircraft, right? They use the new three stripe flag, don't they?

Any help would be exceedingly awesomecross.

Don't know anything about CPBO's, but I know a little about decoration on russian uniforms/vehicles, since I spend quite a lot of my time in Russia.

In theory, all insignia on military vehicles in the Russian Federation should be marked with the russian tricolor (=flag). In reality, however, the old soviet insignias are still used.

The armed forces of Russia use their new flag (the one that looks like the Pepsi logo) together with older soviet stuff. Hats, belts and uniforms often have the hammer and the sickle (it's still an official symbol of the russian state).

It's almost a rule in the armed forces that pieces of uniform shouldn't match (green jacket/camouflage pants, old/new camo mixed together, etc).

Most vehicles are (or should be) painted with modern insignia, but I've seen both helicopters and planes where the red star was still clearly visible.

Ahhh, I see! So that's why the ORCs RF Infantry have all different camos! I was heaps worried because I kept finding really good addons - but they had freakin red stars on them, and I need modern stuff. I see now that that is modern stuff. Ok! Thanks muchly, man! I'll try the CPBO again once I upgrade to my 3.6GHz, 2048Mb RAM 256Mb VRAM monster compy!

Ack, one last question! What is the (real) armament of modern day US APC/Tank Crews? I'm having trouble deciding whether to give them an M4, an M16 or an MP5, or maybe even just an M9. Anyone know?
